Who & Why

Martha Pridham Wilkinson founded the Brilliant Jewellery after working for years for other jewellers, seeing a need for new & younger people to take the torch from an aging trade.

Her early years of work showed her that so many talented gold & silver smiths went into business creating amazing unique custom pieces but no one really wanted to tackle the less glamorous side of jewellery, repair.

For the early years, she focused on repairing customer pieces, finding talented other goldsmiths that shared her vision, doing the occasional custom but truly focusing on repairs that last and can't be seen.

After that time, seeing all the ways pieces fail, she decided that she wanted to bring exceptional fine jewellery to Halifax. Pieces that can stand with the best and aren't available in Nova Scotia created by skilled members of the trade in Nova Scotia.

Today

We stand by what we do, from repairs, custom pieces, estate & classic staples, we are here to assist you in all your jewellery needs. We make & choose quality to ensure the pieces we sell will last for the next generation. Inspired by antique masters of the goldsmithing craft, we strive to build versatile, elegant designs that will stand the test of time.

From a single goldsmith doing repairs & customer service, we've become a team of over 18 in two locations, one in Dartmouth serving as our studio and a newly opened location in Downtown Halifax as Queens Marque as a showroom for our exceptional pieces.
